Opps...Just Kidding...

Ok, so it looks like David said the wrong name when he identified the actor cast as his brother (thanks Karkar). He meant to say Brendan Fehr, not Jason Behr. Yeah, I can see how the slip happened. And they are both from Roswell, so it's an easy mistake. I'll forgive you, David, for making me look like an idiot. This is why amateurs should never report entertainment news. Sheesh. Anyway, still VERY excited about Brendan being cast. He's awesome also. Sorry for the mistake Jason Behr fans. Check out the studly, though, right? Right?! I used to have such a crush on this guy!

Oh, More Unexpected Excitment!!

Oh, how I love thee, Michael Ausiello, Bringer of Exciting Entertainment News! As I browsed the EW videos of the Emmys last night, I ran across a quick interview with David Boreanaz and what a crazy random happenstance, got the exciting news that Jason Behr, of Roswellian fame, was recently cast as Agent's Booth's brother on Bones for this season! Oh happy day! Jason playing a role in something that is so far above the poop that he has been playing in recently; aka: something I can actually watch and enjoy him in! As you can tell, I am super excited and just had to share it with my readers...that I don't really have....humm...gotta work on the lack of reader part of the this blog....Anyway, check out the video for yourself via the link below:

An Exciting Call

Yesterday, while I was getting ready to go see Ghost Town (excellent film by the way, go see it) I got a call from my sister, Brittney. Now, Britt is a busy college student at the College of Charleston. She has tons of hard-ass classes, works in retail and even TAs for some crazy biology class or another. She also somehow finds time for a pretty hearty social life, though I confess, I have no idea how she has the time. Needless to say, I don't get to see her or talk to her that often. So, anytime I do get a call from her, I tend to get very excited. But that's nothing compared to how excited I got when she called yesterday. The call went something like this:

Ring, Ring.
Me: "Hey."
Britt: "Hey, what's up."
Me: "Getting ready for a movie. What's going on with you?"
Britt: "Well, I'm depressed."
Me: "Oh no! Why?"
Britt: "Well...cause Edward just broke up with Bella..."
Me: "OH MY GOD BRITTNEY! YOU ARE READING NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Various kinds of squealing and shrieking ensue on my end of the line...

As Brittney pointed out later in the conversation:

Me: "Why didn't you call and tell me you were reading the books?!"
Britt: "Well, I do have a life you know..."

Ouch, Sis. Anyway, yes, it's sad that I got so very excited (and slightly annoyed also...why can't she trust me when I recommend the best books ever, but when her roommate tosses Twilight to her, she magically finds the time to start reading it....sheesh..) that my sister is now truly and irrevocably a Twilighter. But it's always a plus to have as many people as possible to discuss various Twilight themes with (aka: how much we LOOOOVEEE Edward), if the mood ever strikes. Which it does...a lot. It honestly made my day (don't judge me!).

I told Britt to check out my blog, since I often blog about the Twilight movie or books, so in celebration for the newest member of the Twilight community, here's another fun fan video from YouTube, based around New Moon. Enjoy!

Edward/Bella/Jacob

So instead of a Quote of the Day, how about a Video of the Day? More fun, yes? I was browsing through YouTube and found this lovely video. Stephenie Meyer seems to have started a war after writing New Moon. The sides are: Team Edward vs Team Jacob. Seriously though folks, was there ever really any question to the outcome of this bloody war? Edward always thought of Bella as unlucky (who has the bad luck to fall in love with a vampire that would sooner eat you than touch you?) but in truth, she was exceptionally lucky to have found two guys so worthy of her. Too bad she had to eventually choose, but again, was there really any contest? I guess maybe there was, but it was truly always Edward for me. So, go Team Edward (the winning side, yippie!) and enjoy this fun video.

I Heart Hugh Laurie

I do, I really really do. Yeah, so what if he's 49 years old? He's got that unmistakable Sean Connery-esque appeal to him; ruggedly handsome with a tantalizingly sexy accent. Honestly, we women aren't that hard to please. Give us a self-assured, scratchy-faced, beautiful blue-eyed asshole and we're happy as clams. Seriously, it's not that much to ask...

Anyhow, House premieres tonight and I am just about jumping out of my bouncy work chair in excitement and anticipation for the 8-9 o'clock hour. That being said, House has graced a recent EW cover and article and I was able to find a nice quote from Laurie. Enjoy!

[Speaking about House's character] Laurie: "However monstrous he may be, it doesn't stop me from liking him. I think, by and large, our love for people is not dictated by virtue. We don't only love virtuous people - we don't even love virtuous people, a lot of the time. Virtuous people can be really annoying."

Well put, Hugh, well put. I concur.

Angel

Howdy all! So sorry again for the lack of posts. It was a busy and wonderful weekend (I got to see all my favorite people and that always makes for the best weekends!) but I'm back on the game now, I promise. Little side note: It's amazing how one little load of laundry can ruin your entire Monday morning routine. Who'd a-thought that a pile of wet clothes could cause so much darn trouble? Seriously ruined my flow...Anyway, I digress. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but since I work for a television network, I get all kinds of perks. One of these perks is the ability to watch TV every morning (just in the background, of course...). TNT has 2 hours of Angel every morning and since I get the PST time zone channels along with my very own EST time zone channels, I can start every morning off with a nice dose of Joss Whendoness that includes the lovely David Boreanaz. Not a bad way to start every morning, huh? So, since previous Quotes of the Days have included Buffy and Firefly and Doctor Horrible, I guess it's time for some Angel lovin'. Enjoy these tasty quotes and have a wonderful Monday!

Angel: I really don't like it when people shoot me.

Wesley: I'm a rogue demon hunter now.
Cordelia: Wow.
[Pause]
Cordelia: What's a rogue demon?

Angel: Well, not to go all schoolyard on you, but you hit me first.

Spike: [as Rachel] How can I thank you, you mysterious black-clad hunk of a night thing?
[as Angel] No need, little lady, your tears of gratitude are enough for me. You see, I was once a badass vampire, but love and a pesky curse defanged me. Now I'm just a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth. [Rachel reaches for Angel's head] No, not the hair. Never the hair.
[as Rachel] But there must be some way I can show my appreciation?
[as Angel] No, helping those in need's my job, and working up a load of sexual tension and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough.
[as Rachel] I understand. I have a nephew who is gay, so...
[as Angel] Say no more. Evil's still afoot. And I'm almost out of that nancy-boy hair-gel I like so much. Quickly, to the Angel-mobile, away.

Spike: Right! We are gonna set some ground rules. Number one - don't hit me in the face. Number two - when I hit you in the face, you tell me how it feels, so I can write that on my clipboard. Number three (holds up the clipboard) don't touch my clipboard.

Oh and another side note: I'm still looking for Angel: After the Fall/First Night Vol. 2. Let me know if you see it anywhere. Cover should be like below:

Bones

So, deciding to keep in the same vein with the sexually tense crime-fighting partners (see below blog), your theme and QotD will be...Bones. Also, it's a good show to bring up since it has just premiered it's first two episodes of it's fourth season. Way to go, Bones! David Borenanz is one of the few original Buffy cast members to actually make a name for themselves after the Buffy years. I'm like a proud mother, really. Enjoy these spunky and comical quotes from Bones season 1.

Brennan: Now you’re a mind reader?
Booth: Maybe. You want me to guess your weight?
Brennan: You do and you could loose a tooth.

Brennan: (imitating) “Listen, cowboy. Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.”
Booth: What was that? The Duke? That was horrible. That was like, Jerry Lewis.
Brennan: Was not.

Booth: So, is it him?
Brennan: It’s him. But here’s the kickster…
Booth: Kicker Bones. Here’s the kicker.
Brennan: Oh.

Booth: Voodoo.. [laughs] Who’s gonna believe that stuff?
Brennan: It’s a religion, no crazier than, well, what are you?
Booth: Catholic.
Brennan: They believe in the same saints you do. And prayer. What they call spells, you call miracles. They have priests.
Booth: We don’t make zombies.
Brennan: Jesus rose from the dead after three days.
Booth: Jesus is not a zombie! I shouldn’t even have to tell you that.
